I purchased these slates after reading Ultra Slate Message in Practical Mental Effects (and seeing it in Osterlind's Annemann video series). The Ultra Slate Message effect is really spooky and I really enjoy performing it - one-on-one and in front of an audience.

These slates are so portable (no frame really helps) that I can carry them (wrapped them in a white handkerchief) in my sport coat pocket or in my briefcase (or computer bag).

I also like the flexibility that I can also use them for single or dual slate effects.
